Key and tempo detection features: key, scale, BPM and A4 tuning

Put it on any track or the mix bus and press play: it shows the key and scale with how sure it is, the tempo to a tenth of a BPM, and the A4 the music is tuned to. Drop an audio file on it to analyse it faster than real time. Copy the result, or drag out a MIDI clip with the scale and its chords. The audio passes through untouched, with no added latency.

  • Key and scale

All 24 major and minor keys, with a confidence, the four best matches, the relative key and the key signature.

  • Circle of fifths

Majors outside, minors inside, each lit by how well it fits. The detected key glows and its relative key is outlined.

  • Keyboard

See what is sounding now, the long-term profile, the scale notes, the tonic and the scale degrees.

  • Tempo

BPM to a tenth, with half and double, your session's tempo for comparison, a beat lamp and a confidence.

  • Tuning

The A4 the music is tuned to, in Hz to a tenth and in cents from 440 Hz, with a needle.

  • Drop a file

Drop WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Ogg or MP3 on the panel and it is analysed faster than real time. Switch between the track and the file.

  • Use the result

Copy the key, tempo and tuning as text, or drag out a MIDI clip with the scale and its seven chords at the detected tempo.

  • Never in the way

The audio passes through untouched with no latency, and the last result is saved with your session.

  • Send the key (coming soon)

SEND will pass the key, as detected or as its relative major or minor, to the upcoming Perilune Pitch Corrector on any track.
