Input

Compressor features: soft knee, live curve and auto release
A transparent soft-knee compressor for everyday work. A live transfer curve shows the knee, the threshold and the signal as it crosses them, and Wave scrolls the last three seconds behind the curve so you can see exactly what was compressed. Auto release, a sidechain filter, stereo link, two backlit VU meters and a level-matched A/B and blind test complete it.
Soft knee
A smooth, adjustable knee from hard to very gentle, so material eases into compression with no audible corner.
Live transfer curve
See the knee, threshold and signal level, and switch on Wave to see the last three seconds and exactly how much was compressed.
Attack, release and auto release
Peak or RMS detection, and an auto release that recovers quickly after transients without pumping on sustained parts.
Sidechain
Internal or external sidechain, a 20 to 500 Hz high-pass filter, and stereo link from 0 to 100%.
Makeup, mix and auto gain
Makeup gain, a dry/wet mix for parallel compression, and auto makeup that keeps the level steady.
Two VU meters
Gain reduction on one, input or output on the other, with adjustable calibration.
Level-matched A/B and blind test
Compare with the dry signal at the same loudness, or take a blind test over 8 rounds, so louder can't pass for better.
